He is a M.B.B.S graduate from King Saud University, Riyadh. And the 1st graduate of the Saudi Board of Plastic Surgery to have an honor degree. He continued his education by having the American fellowship in body contouring after massive weight loss, to be member of the American society of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Al-zahrani contributs significantly in the training of new Saudi plastic surgeons since he is a member of the central committee and head of the examination committee of the Saudi board of plastic surgery under the umbrella of the Saudi council for health specialties. He is also a teaching staff at the college of medicine, King Saud University.
